Wingwomen and HeraMED Announce Doula Led Initiative for Patients at-risk for Preeclampsia and Gestational Hypertension 

Boston, Massachusetts – Wingwomen, a Boston-based FemHealth startup, is thrilled to announce its collaboration with HeraMED Limited (ASX:HMD), a leader in medical data and technology, for a groundbreaking Doula Led 90-day Cardiovascular evaluation initiative for pregnant patients during their third and fourth trimesters. The initiative is set to commence in January 2024.

As part of the initiative, The Wingwomen will provide access to 10-12 Doulas, cardiovascular educators, and nutritional health coaches to eligible low risk patients in California and Massachusetts. The Doulas will provide additional education throughout the third and fourth trimester’s around risks associated with preeclampsia, gestational diabetes and gestational hypertension.

HeraMED will supply up to 10-12 units each of the clinically validated in-home fetal and maternal heart rate monitor “HeraBEAT” monitor, connected Blood Pressure Cuffs, and connected Scales, enabling patients to  monitor fetal heart rate, blood pressure, mood, and BMI. The evaluation will focus on user experience, clinical outcomes, satisfaction, and billing codes for patients at risk of Preeclampsia or Gestational Hypertension.

Both companies are united in their mission to revolutionize patient support by employing innovative technology to assist those at risk of preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and gestational hypertension, under the vigilant guidance of doulas. Moreover, they aim to harness this technology to potentially save lives or expedite responses for at-risk patients experiencing unexpected rises in blood pressure during the critical third and fourth trimesters.
